In lentil (Lens culinaris Med.) coheritability estimates between yield and various yield components have been worked out. On the basis of high coheritability estimates, high phenotypic correlations and negligible environmental correlations it has been con cluded that plant height, leaf number, number of pods and seeds / pod can serve as good selection indices in this crop.
