In this paper, we reported on a 4-week descriptive survey study involved Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Michael Otedola College of Primary Education and Lagos State University students within Lagos State, Nigeria. We identified the main key issues impeding the effective use of authoring tools in teaching and learning process. We found that SES (Socio-Economic Status), low computer proficiency, Time requirement, Data plan cost, Unstable Power Supply and Knowledge of existence of authoring tools are seriously affecting the use of these tools.
