BHATTACHARYA, CHIHANDA and GAUTAM, R.K. (2018) CARBON MONOXIDE AND NITROGEN DIOXIDE EFFECT KIDNEY AND LIVER ENZYMES IN ALBINO RATS - A HISTOCHEMICAL STUDY. UTTAR PRADESH JOURNAL OF ZOOLOGY, 12 (1). pp. 45-47.

Histochemical studies made on liver and kidney show that Carbon monoxide (CO) and Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) effect the activity of a few important enzymes like alkaline and acid phosphatases, and lipase. Inhibitory reactions of these enzymes suggest damage to the plasma membrane, endoplasmic reticulum and the lysosomes of the tissues.
