The study aimed to analyse the effects of talent attraction, employee retention, job satisfaction, and productivity on talent management in the Ministry of Basic Education in Gaborone, Botswana. Quantitative data collection and analysis methods were used to devise a better understanding of the Ministry of Basic Education and its employees’ experience with talent management issues in their respective departments. Data were collected from the Ministry of Basic Education using structured questionnaires. The study population was 188 employees holding different portfolios of responsibility in the Ministry of Basic Education. A sample size of 130 respondents was picked using the simple random sampling technique. From the 130 sampled respondents, 112 responded to the questionnaires. The analysis of data was secured through the application of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 26 for descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings from this study confirmed that talent attraction, employee retention, and job satisfaction are related in a significant and positive manner to talent management in Botswana, while productivity is not significantly and positively related to talent management. The study makes a significant contribution by exploring talent management stimuli and their importance to talent management strategies, to both theory and practice in the Ministry of Basic Education in Botswana.
